The speakers provided a tremendous amount of insight into the legal profession's plain language movement.  My sincere thanks to all the judges and lawyers I met in Topeka. Actually, I've been excited about it since this spring, when I first learned that the conference is being held at the &lt;a href="http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasdt-marriott-wardman-park-hotel/" mce_href="http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasdt-marriott-wardman-park-hotel/"&gt;Wardman Park Marriott&lt;/a&gt;, just 10 minutes by bike from &lt;a href="http://www.gwu.edu/%7Eanth/hah.jpg" mce_href="http://www.gwu.edu/~anth/hah.jpg"&gt;home&lt;/a&gt; on the GW campus.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I've circled more sessions in the abstract book than I could ever really attend.   Jen Cardew (&lt;a href="http://www.anthroblogs.org/jcardew/2007/11/ill_be_at_the_aaa_conference_t.html" mce_href="http://www.anthroblogs.org/jcardew/2007/11/ill_be_at_the_aaa_conference_t.html" target="_blank"&gt;Synthesis of Thought&lt;/a&gt;) is presenting in a panel on "Issues in Applied Linguistic Anthropology" (Sat., 8am-11:45).
